Message there is definetely potential for power gain (at all points on curve) if the moment of inertia is decreased. from my somewhat approximate calculations, moment of inertia is not decreased for the carbon fibre driveshaft, so no HP gain will be had.

guessing that most of the improvements you realised were from crank pulley and flywheel.

:Here's my unscientific "real world" observation. After I had a lightened crank pulley, lightened chromoly flywheel and SS driveshaft installed, my tach needle would "blip" much quicker up and down when I tapped the gas pedal. Now that may sound trivial at first, but I equate that to improved "throttle response." Now that I think about it, since the X axis on a dyno chart is RPM's, and NOT time, then the area under the curve would probably NOT be greater, as you said.
